Besides shock value, I *think* the point in the normal Patzer (...Qe5+) is to tempt White into misplacing some pieces (or at least put them on passive squares) at very little risk.  Black has the option of retreating his Q to ...c7, and can get in his usual ...Bf5.

After ...Qe6 I notice Black no longer has option of retreting to c7, and also blocks his e-pawn and his Bc8.  White may not be able to exploit the Q position at e6 very easily, but Black may lose even more time in the end because the Q is in the way of his pieces.

I may be missing something, but I don't see any point to ...Qe6+ except to take White WAY out of book.    

My guess is White gets a comfortable game by playing "normal" moves and trying to take advantage of a lead in development / mobility.
