yep, I remembered 2-3 days ago that Pittsburgh University site also has some endgames. So I took the rook endings one, and cut the games to start with the endgame in question. Anyway, sometimes the play can be far from perfect, but it's the solution I found. And it's good practice against Crafty  Roll Eyes... but if anyone found a better database than the one I made , feel free to tell  Cool.

fianchetto,
The Chess Assistant site has a demo download of their endgame trainer, you could start there.  If you like it I think it cost about $30 US.  Also the Universiyy of Pittsburg Archive of games  has a couple of endgame collections.  Simply go into the archive and look in the index. It's free, but the positions are computer generated which means some are not really challenging they just happen to meet the search criteria for say B+PvsK.
Of course if you have chessbase/chess assistant you could do a material search of a large base to find endgame positions as well.
Hope this helps,

Endgames...

Hi everyone,

As I'm willing to improve a bit by myself my endgame knowledge (and practice), I'm looking for a *.pgn file (or other extensions) with many different types of endgames position I could play against Crafty. No need to have the solution, even if it will of course help. I found similar files for tactics, but nothing for endgames...
Any help will be greatly appreciated  Cool !
