hello, first saw Romanishin's plan recommended in Gary Lane's ideas behind chess openings white repertoire book. Quite an interesting plan, but haven't looked at the gausdal game closely. Karlsson is the world's leading expert on ...Nc6 Stonewalls!

i think in Khanty-Mansisyk FIDE World Cup last year, there were some Lautier-Pridorzhini (sp?) games where Black employed slav move order, these are worth looking at. White seemed to get a durable edge by playing simply with Nf3/e3/Bd3/b3/Bb2 etc.   

Latest new in chess SOS4 has good article by Volkov on 1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6 3. Nc3 (or 3. Nf3) e6 4. e3 f5 5. g4. My problem is what if Black delays f5 with 4... Bd6 and 4... Nd7 first before playing f5?

Holbox, Romanishin tried his Bf4-e5 system against Lars Karlsson at Gausdal on Monday - with distinctly mixed results.

Romanishin system (Bg2, Bf4-Be5, Cbd2, dxe5,  c4, b4-b5) works fine for me.

A real Stonewall killer.

Taimanov thinks a setup with Bf4, e3 and Bd3 pretty good for White. But that is 25 years ago.

How to kill these guys playing delayed stonewall dutch via d5, c6, e6, f5 move order?
