If Topalov starts as slow as he has done in recent tournaments, I am not sure at all, he will be able to dethrone Kramnik.

I always thought Kramnik's style was a refined version of Karpov's--demonstrating an intensely sophisticated understanding of the positions on the board.  Karpov, I know, played 1 e4, but Kramnik's play always seemed more consistent with 1 d4/Nf3.  I don't think he can match Topalov's aggressive play, so a more positional match might be more to his suiting...

Kramnik played a few nice games with 1.e4 in between all the blunders, but he did not adapt to it in the way that Kasparov did when he made the switch.
Will be interesting to see if he has abandoned 1.e4 for good now as it still early days, but there are signs of the old Kramnik returning now. Still too early to say for sure though!

its been just a few rounds, so can't say much about Kramnik's form yet. But i thought Kramnik's win against Naiditsch was more significant, that game was rather tactical, which Kramnik won easily, indicating that his calculation and concentration is in good shape. And i always knew Kramnik will be back in business the moment he goes back to his 1. Nf3/1. d4 stuff!

Kramnik's win over Aronian today got me thinking.  Maybe it's a good time for a poll on the upcoming Wch match...
