Hmmm....   Topalov has a draw in hand and is looking for a way to press for a win.  Have we been here before?  Grin

So that's that, I guess. Odds on a repetition claim through the arbiter to avoid any speaking?!

And bring the rapids on. Great double for Kirsan; the world championships decided in a blitz game AND - potentially - won by the player who lost over the board.

Not to mention another dire blow to my firm's productivity, but there we are.

Come on Vlad, time to bale out. I don't fancy it after say Rb1; seems time to make a draw to me.

I liked 34.Rxc4 dxc4 35.Bxc6, but haven't looked at this position enough to be sure.

After exchange sac black is almost wining. But Bxc4 is still about equall.

That bad, huh?  I'm not surprised, but I'll have to take a look later to understand why.

So Bxc4 dxc4; Rxc4 Qxh2; Rxc6 isn't called for, I guess?!

Are we lining up for a repetition in that line? ...Qf3+/Qh1+ etc?

Yes John, maybe White plays Rc5 in that line and then Black takes the draw, I cant see how he can push for more

Rxc6 is impossible! Qh1+
.
But simple Ke2 is good enough.
