Oy, finally it's up. A queenless middlegame. Looks equalish to me. I think we're going to the blitz.

Anyway, some of kind of Be2 Meran with b4/e5 at some moment (only two queens).

Anyone very kindly post a diagram?

I think that the side requiring only a draw has the advantage. My feeling is this outweights the minute minus.

In an Armageddon game, sure, (certainly at 6-5) but that's three games away yet, potentially.

And they're off again, apparently. The same line as game three, colours reversed, up to white's fourth.

Can ANYONE see this live?

Which colour is best to have in the Armageddon-game? Black?!

Not to mention my other pet peeve. Mix ....e5 and trading the g6 bishop, you risk getting flamed on the kingside light-squares.

I'm still not sure Vlad did the right thing going with a whole new opening for this event, but hey, maybe 2...c6 is just the correct move these days?

Ok, I am with Keano supporting Topalov.
Though I think Kramnik will prevail in the shoot-out.
My reasons are not connected with the circus surrounding this match.
I simply think that Topalov showed the most enterprising and entertaining chess in this match.

Great - if the site falls down like this during a rapid game what chance is there in the blitz?!

I told you. That damned knight on b6 never got to play!

God, this is like watching England. We used to just lose hopelessly in penalty shootouts. Now we generally take the lead and then lose anyway. I'm not sure which is worse.

Especially since I can't actually see the board.

Looks like Topalov should win this one.

They were saying awhile ago Topalov was down five minutes. Now official site has him up five minutes- very bad sign. Still not really seeing what his next move's going to be though.

I suppose he's threatening e6. Then if Qd6 maybe he can capture because of e7+. And that damned knight on a3 - if ...be7 then it can be captured and the queen deflected.
