	I understand the engines are saying it's equal, and certainly it seems to have stabilised. Let's hope so.

	I'm liking this less and less. Black can't move his f6 or d5 knights, and none of his other pieces can do much. This kind of passive position is the hardest to pay in time trouble, too. But Kramnik has the best sense in the world for these positions where White is better but can't break through. Let's hope it's one of those. ...h6....shudder...the white squares ....shudder. Does Black ever do that in these positions?! Maybe it's a bonus available because he hasn't been forced into ....g6?!

	Topalov appears to be having a think now. Rd3 is the obvious candidate, isn't it? What else, I wonder? [modified] Well, that shows why I'm not a GM, I guess.

	Hard to say. It's difficult to take the bishop to b1-h7 without going all in by allowing ...Rc2 and giving up b2. I'd be looking at rook lifts, but those are a bit all-in as well. Move 20 - still in Topa's prep. Oh dear, oh dear....

	Well I´m not sure about this position - it looks solid for Kramnik but devoid of much active counterplay - I would´ve gone for this as Black though given the position. The problem is Kramnik is almost an hour behind on the clock, which might become meaningful if Topalov can generate some pressure.....

	Well, after 19. Rcd1 it appears to be a very nice position for White. On the other hand, I'm not sure what White can do to strengthen his kingside pressure. It seems to me that he wants to transfer his bishop to the b1-h7 diagonal, am I wrong?

	I don't like this at all. Normally Black trades that bishop on c6 and gets the b-file and buttressing d5 as compensation. ....Bd5 looks like a sign of distress to me, and White saving the tempo on Qe2 while hiking his queen to the kingside also looks like a gain. And clearly we're still in Topalov's preparation.

	Topalov has obviously caught Kramnik in the opening in some way. I fear for Kramnik here. He's using a lot of time and this isn't a position-type he plays often; even for the best these IQPs are difficult unprepared; remember Kamsky-Karpov. In the opening, interesting Topalov offered the known 'equaliser' 4...Bf5 and Kramnik bypassed it.

	....Bc6 coming I suppose, but I am still taking White here, Topalov seems to have used much less time on the clock than Kramnik which might mean something or might mean nothing...

	I am a bit surprised Kramnik has gone for this line, it looks tricky to handle for Black to my eye. I would not fancy having to defend this position in a tournament, but then again I am not Kramnik
