Does anyone have the book?
Sounds pretty good, though it has to be superficial with just 193 pages and recommending the open Sicilian.
How is the Sicilian section? This is especially important for me, as I face the Sicilian in my games with white in about 70% of all games!
About 50% of the variations correspond with my current repertoire, so do you think it is worth getting for me (I'm slightly above 2300) ? So perhaps it could also be helpful if I just get some new ideas in the variations I am already playing.
Any help appreciated!  Smiley

Ah good I have been looking for something like that.

I hope that for the open sicilian he suggests a Be2 based approach (against najdorf, scheveningen etc), that would be very interesting as that is almost never covered from the white side, yet it is a very good approach.

sort of, though not directly: he gives 6 Be3 against the Najdorf/Scheveningen, but aiming for Classical Scheveningen positions (i.e. with Be2 and f4) by transposition

Finally a serious repertoire in an 1. e4 book. Usually they are littered with KIA and the likes.
I hope that for the open sicilian he suggests a Be2 based approach (against najdorf, scheveningen etc), that would be very interesting as that is almost never covered from the white side, yet it is a very good approach.

Thanks jonathan!

so he does recommend the open sicilian!
This is very ambitious for such a small book...I guess he must not recommend absolute main lines (no english attack!), but this might still be interesting though...

Any other opinions???

any infos on the repertoire he recommends?
above all against 1...e5, the sicilian and the french?
I guess it will be the scotch, the rossolimo and laybe the advance...

1...e5 - Scotch
1...c5 - 2 Nf3 and 3 d4 Open Sicilians
1...e6 - 3 Nd2 Korchnoi Gambit (via several move orders; e.g. 3...Nf6 4 e5 Nfd7 5 Bd3 c5 6 c3 Nc6 7 Ngf3 Qb6 8 0-0)
