Ive seen these being promoted at a couple of tournaments, and I gotta tell ya, I don't get it.  They may be useful for relaying games on ICC, but I don't see why any player would be interested in buying one of these things.  Is it really that hard to hang on to your scoresheet?

If it had an engine and could read pgn files, that would be different.  But a handheld device just to keep score? What's the attraction in that?  Your money would be better spent on a full-featured PDA running pocket fritz.

I can't believe someone bankrolled this idea.

Or am I missing something?
