I suppose Topalov’s entitled to challenge under FIDE’s anyone-with-2700 ELO-and-1.5 million-euros rule, isn’t he? As I recall the downside of doing that is you don’t get to play the next WC tournament, but then he’s not playing that anyway – in theory.

Topalov's manager is already speaking about a rematch. He claims that according to regulations of FIDE Topalov has the right to play in a rematch, provided that a billion dollar sum is secured. Why nobody has spoken about this before the match? Aren't you a bit surprised at this news? Will Kramnik agree to play and is he obliged to?
