Daiim Shabazz is not an IM, katar, he's about 2100, I think. I believe TopNotch is a Barbadian IM, which I think narrows the field down to one, although I may be wrong about that last bit.

Due to my recent conclusion that "Markovich" is (apparently) the legendary Mark Morss, I was wondering who else among the CP regulars is a chess celebrity.

Obviously, chess legends like TonyKosten, ChristophWisnewski, and JohnCox are easy to pick out among the crowd.  But I'm wondering if any other chess celebrities are lurking in civilian clothing-- that is, with the sort of routine and generic screen names that normally denote no one in particular.

SO help me out, guys!!!!

Markovich = Mark Morss of "Hard Chess" fame.  I have most of his articles tabbed in 3-hole binders.

Is TopNotch = Daim Shabazz of chessdrum.net ????  I can't even remember why i got that impression.

***

Then again, maybe they chose these obscure names for precisely that reason-- to escape the paparazzi, the fanboys, and other assorted limo-chasers.  If that is the case, accept my apology for prying and allow this thread to fade into the wasteland of the 2nd page.

Humbly signed, a patzer.
