and btw, the computer doesn't like your exchange sacrifice in the g3-mainline... gives it as +0.8 when you give it some minutes. To me, that still seems like a critical test although after two horrible positions from the "quiet" e3-line, I've decided to give up the slav altogether

Are there really? I own the e-book, not the hard copy. I am curious, does the hard copy always give the beginning moves of all games referred to complete with annotation? For instance in the introduction, there are dozens of games, where the author starts at move 10, for example. However, in the e-version, even though Chessbase might jump straight to move 10,the full game is still there, often with annotations prior to that point. In these cases, does the hard copy version give the full game also?

I see many has bought the ebook version. Anyone bought the paper book? Is there a paper book at all? Does the ebook and paper book have the same content or are there missing parts in the ebook?

Good points: 

The "Introduction" is fabulous. Vigus starts out explaining some of the main moves and has nice advice for the aspiring Slav player (or anyone learning a new opening - ie. make the opening your own by doing your own investigations..,.etc)., then has sections using games to detail some of the common positional challenges of the Slav (using various games). 
For someone new to the Slav I found this section very, very helpful.

I like his sense of humor which comes out every now and then (ie. 
see the chapter on the The Errot variation -- what IS that??). 

One thing I wish were different: they included the index of variations at the end of each chapter. That's fine but it would have been nice to have a few pages at the end of the book that did the same, just for reference purposes. I have to remember the varation "name" before I know which chapter to go to since the chapter headings don't have the moves in them either.

I would also prefer a few more complete games.

This is my first e-book book and overall I like it. It's nice to be able to play through the lines in Fritz. It takes a little getting used to
but I think the advangages (especially for a chess book with variations and games..etc) are tremendous.

Aha, thanks.  I couldn't tell from the thread (still can't).  I have both Bologan books and would recommend them both, incidentally.
