You don't understand. These options are only good after 1.e4 c5 2.e5!! Nc6 3.f4 and now h6!! or g5!!!!! in LDZ's world.
  
The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

I had a game like this on Internet Chess Club. Playing White, I won in fine style. The opening moves were
1 e4 c4 2 e5 Nc6  3 Nf3 Qc7 4 Qe2 g6  5 b3 Bg7

I'll post the game later.

So let's see.... 1.e4 c5 2.e5 Nc6 and Black's slightly better already.  How is this supposed to work for White?

Hello all,

Does anyone know anything about 2 e5 against the Sicilian Defense? I tried it on ICC, and it seems to work. Also, there is a master at the Marshall Chess Club, Yefim Treger, who plays it all the time. It works for him.
