Not so impressed by his efforts at chesslecture.com. Always sounds like he is nervously winging it. But, written form may be different.

Ask Si Williams? Once an avid c4 player. An active and strong player.

If looking for a new guy. I vote for IM John-Paul Wallace as he did a excellent job as a stand-in in the past.  Wink

The chesscafe review appears to indicate that he is still alive and chessing.

Thus appears simply late and unprofessional with regard to chesspub.

Next Flanker is....?

Firstly, hope he is okay if no contact has been possible.

Secondly, if indeed AWOL then perhaps time to find a successor?

He is obviously fine since he is keeping up with his ChessCafe reviews and he now owes three months of updates here. Clearly he is too busy or not interested in Chess Pub anymore. Either way it is time to find a replacement.

Of course, I've emailed him dozens of times, he just doesn't answer! Angry

Yes the RSS is working when I'm using my personal computer, but when I'm on the move and using other computers its much easier for me to simply check my Hotmail and thus ensuring I don't miss any updates.

Isn't it possible for you to email the sys guy and have him resolve this issue?

The last time this notification problem occurred it also took a long time to be fixed and I am left wondering how technically difficult this really is to remedy.

They still don't seem to be working, and unfortunately I haven't been able to get in touch with the sys admin guy to sort it out these last few weeks while I've been away. Undecided
The RSS things still work don't they?

Tony,

What has happened to the email notifications for new updates?

Maybe!
Incidentally, I have a lot of the November updates but haven't been able to find the time to put them online yet, I'll start catching up when I get home Monday, sorry. Embarrassed

Anyone know if something happened to Carsten? Undecided

Other than the fact that he is two months behind? Do you mean you have not been able to contact him?

Alas French, d4 d5, Flank October episodes yet to surface.

A bumper christmas special perhaps like the Beano does?

I have received two updates, Open Sicilians and d-Pawn Specials, but haven't been able to prepare them as I am busy playing chess till tomorrow. For the Anti-Sicilians see the relevant post, no idea what happened to the French and 1 d4 d5, though. Undecided
As soon as I get back home I will chase them up.

Is it just me or did we miss some October contributions in a few sections?

Or did they perchance get eaten by the hacking intruder?

Just wondering seeing as how seems this hasn't been mentioned anywhere....

best regards,

Bibs
