I saw this question asked in another thread, but it hasn't really been answered. .

Well, the reason that it hasn't properly been answered ... is that we are currently working on adding a section download button to the Archive frontend! In the last few days we have added a Zip option to the PGN Archive, and assuming this works alright (so far it has) we will then increase the max games limit, and then add the section drop-down list. Smiley

Incidentally, even now it shouldn't take more than a minute to download any one section!

Okay, it worked!  Now I hope I don't sound too dense, but short instructions would be nice for us first time users.  Just a paragraph or two explaining the main functions of the site, for instance.

There is the Site Info link at the top of each page, and this can be quite helpful. It is rather small, though, so very easy to miss! Roll Eyes
P.S. You are probably missing some games as you can still only download 1000 games at a time! Wink

I saw this question asked in another thread, but it hasn't really been answered.  I notice that Tony has made it easily available to download all games if you're a Gold Plus subscriber, but what about us that only subscribe to one section?  What's the best way to download all the annotated PGN (or CBV or whatever) games without spending hours and hours?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I've gotten it.  I'm going to try searching in the archive with no criteria and downloading a zipped file with the PGNs, hence avoiding the 1000 game limit.
