1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O Be7 6. Re1 b5 7. Bb3 d6 8. c3 O-O 9. h3 Na5 10. Bc2 c5 11. d4 cxd4 12. cxd4 Qc7

Is this move order to whites advantage after 13. Nc3 or they should transpose to main lines with 13.Nbd2?

You will find some information about this line at http://sverreschesscorner.blogspot.com/2007/08/chigorin-mainline.html. Not really much you cannot find with a good database but it may save you some work.

As a general recommendation, try Glenn Flear's Main Line Ruy Lopez and the games of GM Jeroen Piket.

But the real answer to your question depends on how you intend to follow-up.  After 13.cd by White, Black has at least four main tries:

13..Rd8
13..Bd7
13..Bb7
13..Nc6

Which are you considering?

The above line has always held interest for me and I'M toying with the idea of investing some study time in it. I can thank the influence of Keres for this interest Wink From what I have been able to gather thus far this line seems to be not that popular nowadays....fasion or are things that bad for black?

Also, are their any modern GM's or strong IM's specializing in this line and are there any current works available for study?
