I've tried to keep up on the Geller Gambit myself.  Rather than any book that's been published since say, 1990, check out the databases.

One line that I ran into in a blitz game as Black went:

1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 dc4 5.e4 b5 6.e5 Nd5 7.a4 e6 8.ab5 Nc3 9.bc3 cb5 10.Be2!? I hadn't expected that and found it very difficult to meet over the board in a blitz game.  (The normal move is 10.Ng5 Bb7 11.Qh5)

I remember I tried 10...Bb7, but White somehow managed to get the better game anyway.  I know it was blitz, but I need to see if this is noise or some new idea.

Silman and Donaldson have written a series of  3 volumes on the Slav defense. Its quite old...but I dont know weather the Geller gambit has changed so much or not. But in this computer age..a lot can change!!

Anyhow...In book nr II (written in 1993) the book is titled :"Gambits in the Slav"

Silman and Donaldson are devoting 48 pages for the Winawer Gambit and 106 (!) pages for the Geller gambit (the authors prefere to call it "The Slav Gambit".).

The critical lines in the book can be checked with Rybka...so you have a lot of pages to study.

Book 1 : Gambits in the Slav

Book 2: The Exchange variation of the Slav

Book 3: A solid repertoire book  for the amateur player.  vs  1.d4  The Slav.

"I Often see in chess forums people asking : " What is the current status of that line ?"&&&&Its a good reasonable question, but who can claim that he knows the answer ?!&&&&Semko Semkov Januari 2008

There is good coverage in Vigus' Slav book.
The latest I know of.
From black's point of view.

I was wondering if anyone has a particularly good book they recommend for up to date stuff on the Geller gambit. I've even seen some rare responses from white concerning a3.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a NIC Yearbook survey that considers 6.Be2 instead of the theoretical 6.e5.  There has been some discussion of 6.Qc2!? on this forum.
