He told John Watson on his ICC show that there was a sequel in the works and it would recommend the Breyer

I wish people wouldn't do this. I've been playing the Breyer for years now and this will just produce more theory that I'll have to keep up with.

Maybe I'll switch to the Berlin. Har har har har.

I liked the book too. I liked the philosophy for choosing variations and many of the choices. I look forward to the new edition.

And yes, it would have been better with an index.

Well, yeah I'm forced to agree the book needed an index.

I'm not sure whether it's a format problem, but the absence of an index of variations is certainly a problem.

I have read somewhere before there will be a second edition. This time the publisher will be New in Chess it seems: http://www.amazon.com/Kaufman-Repertoire-Black-White/dp/9056913719/ref=sr_1_1?ie...

If I recall correctly as Black against the Ruy he chooses the Breyer now instead of the Berlin.

I quite like the content of the first edition so I´m looking forward to this but the format needs improvement in my opinion.

Sorry my mistake. I mean Ponzani Wink
I now ordered this book. I think with Marins 'beating the open' and spanish it can be great repertoire!
Thanks!

I think Mieses chapter may be little out-dated Sad and there is still much theory to learn... Maybe better way is just to purchase other book, where recommended system is Bc5..
Cheers!

P.S
What he advocates against Goering gambit, Ponzetto, Glek as black and agains latvian and elephant as white?

Perhaps could get together in a room with Anonymous and see if a conversation could take place.

My bet would consist only of firing questions at each other. But never answering....
