Where is Black's compensation after the simple 8.Kf2 Bc5 9.Ke1? Black has only one pawn for the piece, and White will be able to consolidate simply by developing his pieces (Bd3, Nbd2-b3, etc).

For example: 9...0-0 (9...Bd7 10.Qg4!) 10.Bd3 f6 11.Qh4! forcing 11...h6 (11...g6 12.ef6 Qf6 13.Bg5) 12.Bh6! gh6 13.Qh6 and White is up a pawn with a strong attack (13...Qe7 14.ef6 Rf6 15.Bh7 Kh8 16.Bg6 Kg8 17.Nbd2 and Black lacks compensation for the pawn).

Generally in the French if Black wants to sacrifice a piece, he usually does so on e5 (...Nxe5 Pxe5 Ne5)

What does author X say about this move? Why doesn't author Y mention that move?

Hi Guys,

Call me crazy or nuts, but i have been analysing a piece sac in the following line:

1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 c5 4.c3 Nc6 5.Nf3 Nh6!?

the line begins with:

6.dc5!?(most dangerous line)

and now the move 6....Ng4?

It is well known that 7.Qa4! refutes the line, black can't capture either pawn. There have some games been played f.e. Sveshnikov-Bareev 1991 with the move 7..h5(1-0)

The move i propose is 7...Nf2!?
After 8.Kf2: Bc5: the analysing begin, but after some hours its not clear to me how it proceeds for white.Black will castle play f6 and have alot of pressure against the king in the centre.

Is it worth a try?
