To me waiting for a few reviews seems like the right solution. With some of the better known reviewers one knows pretty quickly how they review and how much weight to give to them.

Now we've all heard don't judge a book by its cover.... but fortunately with books you can open them up read a little and just know if it will fill the need you are searching for.... how do you judge a DVD? I've found the two DVDs i've done to be really hit or miss. One was excellent totally worth every cent... the other wasn't worth the toliet paper I just flushed.
