Hi all!

As is our annual tradition, I am starting the EPL football thread by voicing my undying support for the Kop.  Yes, I am a Yank, and yes, I support Rafa Benitez over the current owners.  But I don't know that owners from Dubai would do much better.

I'm really sorry to see Newcastle's owners/manager mess.  Here in the US, the most knowledgeable commentators are saying that nobody would buy Newcastle in its current state, and the owners have a money pit for a team.

Man City and Chelsea remain two of the most expensive teams in any sport, but I will stick with my team:Let's Go REDS!
