I have sometimes noticed computers wanting to play Kd1 in positions where Kd2 is more natural.  Here it would allow ...Ng4 to be met by Nd1.  An IM has played 11. Bc7 there (successfully), by the way.

White wants to play Bc7, but has to defend pawn f2, for example: 11.Bc7 Nc2 12. Kd1 Ng4 and White has to play Bg3.
  
The older, the better - over 2200 and still rising.

After 1. Nf3 d5 2. d4 Nf6 3. c4 c6 4. Qc2 g6 5. Bf4 Bf5 6. Qb3 Qb6 7. c5 Qxb3 8. axb3 Na6 9. Nc3 Nb4, White is actually better : 10.Ra4!

You find this idea in the London System, but for Black : 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Bf4 c5 4.e3 Nc6 5.c3 Qb6 6.Qb3 c4 7.Qxb6 axb6.
And also in the Baltic Opening (for White) : 1.d4 d5 2.c4 Bf5 3.Nc3 e6 4.Nf3 c6 5.Qb3 Qb6 6.c5 Qxb3 7.axb3.
In those 2 lines, the side with doubled pawns wishes to push his b-pawn, with a good game.

If you compare, in your line (let's say after 8.axb3), White have lost a tempo (Qd1-c2-b3) and Black have played an unusual move (g6).
I would say the position is balanced but strategically very intricate. You should take a look at the games of Tony Miles.
