Yes, you are right, it was 9. Nxd4 cxd4 10. Qh5.

The main game in the book on this line is Jones-Nijboer, 2004. http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1327109

Jones-Werle http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1469352  is not one of the main games mentioned, but it is of course possible that there is a fragment of it somewhere.

Instead he discusses Jones-Sarkar, 2007,   http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1449702
This game has the same first 10 moves as Jones-Werle, and should be of interest to the inventor of this thread.

Gawain Jones (Starting out...) recommends just 7. d3 (7. a4 is well met by d5), allowing b5 and an exchange on b3. He then discusses  the plan f4-f5 amongst others. But due to copyright I guess I should not give detailed variations.

Btw, my biggest eye opener in this book was:
1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nd4 4. Bc4 e6 5. Nge2 Nf6 6. 0-0 d5? 7. exd5 exd5 8. Nxd5! Nxd5 9. Qh5!  A very nice book in general.

I recently noticed Tiviakov using that second line (although you left out an exchange of knights) to score an easy win in an early round of an Open.  Struck me as rather surprising when I first saw it, too.

The first line reminds me of a game G. Jones-Werle from a couple of years ago; I wonder if it is mentioned in the book.
