In my Rybka book for Aquarium, neither 7.d5 for White nor 7... a5 for Black are played by an engine with the default configuration. 7.d5 is marked as red and 7...a5 is marked black. So for Jeroen Noomen this moves are not the best for the engine and it starts thinking.

Maybe it is included as a result of adding certain games to make the book,  just grabbing the pawn looks ok to me (It seems is no a real sacrifice, see the quoted game).

The Megabase only has 4 games and it was played for the first time by Bronstein in 1996:
