The voice quality is quite deep and resonant, so Karsten gets points there.
The German accent does not impede understanding. It's an acquired taste.
At first I considered it distracting, but after awhile found it charming. "Mating Furce", ahhh ok it's "Mating phase!" I just learned that from this thread.
A few of Karsten's words here and there make me sit up and pay attention. "Analogously" was a humdinger, i remember.
The authentic German accent is part of who he is, and i had no problem getting used to it. I find it beautiful that chess brings so many languages and cultures together. I also find the quality of Mueller's endgame material is unsurpassed. I've only watched volume #1 though...
Edited: Moderator's note: I'd normally delete this and all references to it, but it seems harmless (and amusing) enough.
