Papageno doesn't contradict me. He writes exactly the same thing.

I fully agree with Papageno. I found these endgame dvds highly instructive and the presentation above the usual chessbase standard.

Thanks for the answer.
The main problem for me was not so much the accent but his gabble and yes, the contemptuous way of speaking. I could have named any other lecturer who talked this way... If I knew any. No problem with him except that.
I don't want to continue this topic, I was just interested whether or not I was alone with the issue.

I would like to ask you to stop this kind of bashing of a person better sooner than later. Speaking about Karsten Müller, I do know people who have benifited a lot from him as a trainer. However, his presentation style (even if I listen to him in German) is unusual indeed and often might sound kind of arrogant or contemptuous (at least to me, but maybe to others as well).

But remember that everyone of us would have great difficulties in presenting material in a foreign language. This is not different among the Chessbase video lectures who suffer apart from language from many problems: Shirov is a nice guy but comes sometimes little prepared, Van Wely shows great difficulties in finding expressions in English from time to time, Mikhalchishin is very difficult to understand (not to mention that his analysis is often crap), Kasimdzanov's hoarse voice is also clearly not very helpful in a presentation etc. Otherwise, I find Dzindzi's videos also horrible by any standards.

The point that is really to be criticized is that at Chessbase there seems to be no quality management at all with their presentations. Some problems might get solved if they supervised these recordings just a little bit and helped the authors with some major problems.

I sort of know who K.M. is, but I have no idea how he talks.

I have [Chessbase Fritz Trainer] Endgames (Schachendspiele) volumes 1-4 (in English), but they are simply useless for me.
I like CBFTs, I have understood everyone else's speech regardless of their mother language, but after several tries to sit down with relaxed mind and listen to him, I must say it is an impossible mission.
He has a serious speech impediment and some kind of strange inferiority complex at that, which altogether makes it impossible for me to enjoy, or even comprehend the lessons.
Everytime I sit down to finally grasp the lessons, I get frustrated. He usually starts speaking slowly, when his heavy foreign accent is still understandable, but shortly he speeds up abruptly and I can no longer decide for sure whether it is a clown or a humorist that I am watching. The phrase chess teacher never comes to mind.  Sad

He must be very good at endgames, but I wouldn't let him on the screen, except in a silent fim.
I can't imagine how on earth Chessbase let him speak on any trainer.
