Where is that from Sloughter, still Houdini 3? What about 11 ...Nbc6, isn't it better and what "theory" recommends?

Hi!
I wondered about current state of theory in this variation (1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 Ne7 7.Qg4 Qc7 8.Qxg7 Rg8 9.Qxh7 cxd4 10.Kd1!?)
Is this still playable?
Can someone recommand some sources for white ?
cheers
E.

If you want to work with it anyway, you can start reading John Knusden's text here:
http://www.correspondencechess.com/knudsen/twr/02.txt
and work on corr. games

Playable ? I don't know...because despite objective ideas ("no Qc3+ winning the  Ra1" in some lines ?), if you compare with other main lines, you will not find the point of losing tempo and going near the c2-pawn often object to attack.

Thank You for this link. I'll try this line. I just can't find any advantage in Khalifman mainlines :/

I guess its playable. I don't remember especially liking the general feel of it when I had a look though.

One reason for the small levels of interest would be the main line being viewed as simply good for white (partially fashion this of course). It'll be interesting to see if it gets anymore attention with a few strong people venturing the main lines again.

Best sources I can think of would be the general Winaver books (Psahkis etc.).
