I  have never been a fan fo statistics but thats becouse white players are not aware of Khalifmans moves Smiley. In many lines white gets a positionelly prefereable position.

Rogozenkos disc recommended a line and stopped a bit to early calling it equal. Khalifman continued a few forced moves more and the truth is that white gets a strong attack and leaves black struggling to find moves.

White forestalls h5 but on the other hand the white king may not be as safe after 0-0-0. I haven't looked at the variation with a4 yet in detail so the point about casteling long may not be an issue at all. On the other hand my database tells me that black scores significantly better than white after a4.

Dennis article is litlte missleading (dont remeber exaclty where it was) since he missed a major black improvment in the line where white goes after black kings in a forced variation that changes the assesment completly. However white can play Khalfmans recommendation 12 a4 instead and it looks very good for white.

This position that is reached after the following moves seems to be extremely critical. Can white gain an opening advantage after 13.h5 and if so what does that continutation look like?

I read on Dennis M's blog an article where he argued that this variation was supposed to be very good for white, now I can not find the article anymore and I am not sure if it is relevant still. What is your opinion about this position?

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 g6 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nxd4 Bg7 6. Be3 Nf6 7. Bc4 O-O 8. Bb3 d6 9. f3 Bd7 10. Qd2 Nxd4 11. Bxd4 b5 12. h4 a5
