one question about the Kopec-System: what plays white after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bd3 Nf6 ? if i didn't overlook something, this move order isn't mentioned in this DVD! If white goes for the standard 4.c3, we are just in the normal 3.c3 Nf6 4.Bd3 line and black gets a fine game due to 4...Bg4

You can see, all games are from Kopec himself and they´re old! Maybe 
that doesn´t matter as theory have not really developed since then. 
It´s just a way to play aside the usual lines. You get some positional ideas  
from the video and between the lines something like a repertoire. Nothing
special, no secret traps, just an equal position to play a game of chess.
Some inspirational games show how things may develope nicely for white
if black plays carelessly or without plan. You might get the same effect 
working hard through some fifty games from a database but of course
it´s easier to watch that video first. Explanations are on 1600-2000 level.
It´s neither overwhelming nor really bad. It´s just the only source 
about an non-tactical offbeat opening. Maybe 4-7 stars out of 10 ...

Imo the Kopec system is too harmless to play it as only or main weapon 
against the Sicilian. But if you already have Bb5 systems, c3 systems, Bc4 
systems etc in your arsenal, it´s surely no mistake to add this system, too.
So far I have only played some blitz/rapid games with it, no real conclusions yet,
but I´m sceptical about 3.Bd3 against 2...e6. And generally 3.c3 & 4.Bd3 
might be better than 3.Bd3 (except, of course, for psychological reasons).
