And what about learning curves? He may as well experience difficulties in assimilating some of the new stuff they have examined..

Since the Nanjing super tournament (average rating 2766) starts in the next 24 hours, it's a good time to start a tournament poll. 

I predict a tie for first between Topalov and Carlsen. Topalov won the event last year with a round to spare, and while Carlsen hasn't played since Dortmund this year, the training with Kasparov should pay dividends for him.
