	While the opening under discussion may be boring to some, Greet's Play the Queen's Indian to me is an exemplary example of how a repetoire book should be written in terms of a good mix of explanations, variations, new ideas and attention to recent developments (I am not sure whether I see much of a difference between variations or complete games, where for once it's the former again).

Anyway, it's nice to see only opening books nominated - as usually these kind of awards never go to opening books.

	Dismantling the Sicilian by De La Villa for sure but since it already is mentioned I nominate "Win with the Stonewall Dutch".

	What kind of proof is that?

	I'm not sure at all but I think I have the castillan version of "dismantling the sicilian" three years ago. I'm really surprised by the the book of Hellsten "Play the Sicilian Kan".

	This question is fairly easy to answer. The opening book of the year was the one published on January 1, 2009. Jokes aside, I will nominate Grandmaster Repertoire: 1.c4 Volume 1 by Marin, with Dismantling the Sicilian by De La Villa as a second nomination.

	What is the year? And maybe somebody should make a list of all the books that have been newly published in it. If I'm not mistaken, Schandorff's excellent book is more than a year old.

	Hi all As Chesspublishing.com is the premium site for opening theory and many of us like to discuss and buy chess books and especially books on opening I wonder if we should not make a "Chesspublishing opening chess book of the year " award (If Tony agrees). We could first collect some suggestionts and then make a poll. What do you think?
