Starting Out: Coaching

I am starting to do a little coaching. After-all those who can't do teach right.  Grin Seeing that I have zero coaching experience and  there are quite a few experienced coaches here, I thought I would solicit your help.

I have agreed to help develop a youngster. He is 14, and has as Chess.com rating of 1750. He plays primarily 10 min and 15 min games online. He has had very limited OTB experience, since there isn't any organized tournament activity around; he will not get the occasion to play OTB until summer of 2010 since he has to travel.

That he has come so far entirely on his own is quite an achievement. He learned everything he knows about the game on his own from Chess.com articles and learnt his openings from Wikepedia. He does not own any chess books.

Currently, he plays 1. d4 as White and plays the Berlin, French and Sicilian against 1. e4. As Black he plays Nimzo/QID and Semi-slav. He dislikes open positions.

I have agreed to give him an hour a week to help him develop. So, my question is what is the best way to utilize this time.
