i was thinking of 17...Rfd8 but I don't know if it is an approvement, but after 17...d5 18. f4 white is clearly better.

Glancing at a B33 survey a couple of Informants ago, I see that it also mentions 17...h5, but thinks White should be clearly better in either case.

15. Nc2 Bb7 16. exf5 Qg5 17. Ne3 d5

is there any good alternativs to 17....d5?

Why or why not?
