That's still not clear equality for black, sure. But overall I'm a bit surprised by Avrukh's choices against the Dutch, particularly the Classical and the Leningrad. They look tamer than I expected. I half-expected him to go all-in an try to refute this nonsense once and for all! 

Just got the hands of the new Avrukh book. Massive stuff as usual (600+ pages Avrukh-style, phew!) but checking his anti-classical dutch lines I was a bit disappointed, or from the black perspective rather happy .

At first, he seem to have a pretty good grip:

Against 7.. Ne4!? He goes for the critical 8.Nxe4 fxe4 9. Nd2 d5 10. f3 Nc6 11. fxe4 Rxf1 

Hmm, did he check the chesspublishing forum?

OK, now the decent but not only possibility 12. Nxf1 followed by 12.. dxc4 13. Be3.

But here he only gives 13.. a6?! and 13.. b5?! 

Aha, he didn't really check the forum after all, looks more like he lazy-followed some Williams analysis. Pity for him, otherwise it would have been tougher after 13.. Bd7! = 

So I judge the theory duel Avrukh vs. Classical Dutch as 1/2-1/2, black didn't even have to try to defend 7.. a5 or 7... Qe8  

This just shows that 'books' will always be more or less quickly outdated and owned by internet forums. And nowadays patzers with the great equalizer Rybka on good HW with computer skills can out-analyze GM:s not yet into the modern world.
