My impression, after reading his website and his blog, is that Quality Chess mus thave done a fair amount of editorial work on the books because he isn't exactly the most coherent writer.

Thanks, Papa! I had visited Avrukh's website but hadn't gone the next step to find out exactly what he was talking about.

(Avrukh could have saved us a step by providing the moves or at least the page number. Still, I agree that he deserves credit for publishing this info!)

The line in question you better not play is
1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. e3 Bf5 5. Nc3 e6 6. Nh4 Bg6 7. Be2 Nbd7 8. O-O Ne4 9. Nxg6 hxg6 10. cxd5 exd5 11. Nxe4 dxe4 12. d5?N due to Bd6! 13. g3 (or h3) c5!
There are already two games with this move, e.g. Hillarp Persson-Malakhov, Politiken Cup 2009.

This method of play has been known for over a year now. This still shows that Avrukh is a class act for publishing it himself.

Avrukh Slav Line Refuted

Avrukh made a post on his website about a Slav line he gave that was refuted: http://avrukh-chess.com/news.php?newsid=37

I had some trouble at first figuring out what line he's talking about since his move numbering is off in the post and he doesn't give the full line.  The line starts on page 335 and his novelty is on move 12, not move 11.
