The kingside attack is sound at all levels, although you have to be well prepared as Black. This line is probably Black's best chance for equality, as Radjabov's and Nakamura's games have shown.

I am trying to develop a repertoire for playing freestyle chess (i.e. computer assisted chess).

1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.Nf3 0-0 6.Be2 e5 7.0-0 Nc6 8.d5 Ne7

In the context of computers is this all out attack on the kingside sound? Or since white breaks through on the queenside faster will a computer defend as white and always win?
