13...0-0-0 dubious or serious in the Meran?

Recently I made some research within the Meran variation and by chance recognized the game Aronian-Rodshtein, 2008 where Rodhstein seemed to revive a dubious variation.

After:
1.Nf3 d5 2.d4 Nf6 3.c4 c6 4.Nc3 e6 5.e3 Nbd7 6.Bd3 dxc4 7.Bxc4 b5 8.Bd3 a6 9.e4 c5 10.d5 Bb7 11.O-O Qc7 12.dxe6 fxe6 13.Bc2

Rodshtein played 13...0-0-0!?

and Arionian replied with the best known move 14. Ng5. Now Rodshtein did not play the known 14...Ne5 but 14...Re8! and later on managed to win.

Here is the whole game:

Does anyone know of improvements for White in this variation or is it simply good for Black?
