I took five minutes and did a quick survey of some of the top Najdorf players to see what they tended to play in the last 5 years against other +2500 rated opponents.

Gelfand:              Nimzo or Semi-Slav
Ivanchuk:           Nimzo or Queens Indian
Ponomariov:       Nimzo or Semi-Slav
Van Wely :           Semi-Slav
Vachier Lagrave: Grunfeld

Not that any of that really helps. All this means is that top players tend to play the most fashionable lines.

The only thing I found out was how popular 1.d4 Nf6 1.c4 e6 3.Nf3 d5 is now.

I'm a truly devotee of the Sicilian Najdorf and I am searching for -wiothout much luck- a similar way of playing against 1.d4. I've tried the KID but there are a lot of lines where white puts great theorical problems (Bayonett Attack, Fianchetto, Krasenkow's lin 6.h3, Averbakh, etc...) When there are so many difficult lines it's time to change. I've been looking through the Semi-Slav but there is again the Anti-Moscow Gambit which is becoming me crazy. I've also tried the Nimo-Indian/3D3B3332266E6F685C00 but I find it pretty dull and boring. Having said so, which defence vs 1.d4 do you think fits better with the Najdorf?

Look at the 1.d4 games of Najdorf devotees. Once you notice a common trend, you can either follow it or go against it.

None. You should not compare your defence against 1.d4 with the Najdorf, but judge it on its own merits.
