	Ah, I see! -- thanks. For 99.90 euros you get CB11 but without the Big Database 2011, and they call this the download version 'cos they don't have to send anything through the post. Got it (I think)!

	99.90 euros gets you a download link for CB11. The starter package is CB11 + Big Database 2011 + 3 issues of CB Magazine. I installed the download version on a students computer and it works fine.

Not having seen this post before, I've just spent half an hour looking at all the CB database products to make a comparison. CB Light Premium is still advertised there, for 49.99 euros. Why the blazes can't they ever update their web pages? I'm confused too by the 'information' about CB11 packages. They offer a 'download' version of CB11 for 99.90 euros, implying that for this price you get CB11, but then elsewhere they seem to imply that this sum buys you an upgrade from CB10. They also advertise the English CB11 starter package for 179.90 euros. Can anyone tell me how this differs from the 'download' version (if, that is, this latter [i]is[/i] a version and not an upgrade)?

	Got the email back from Chessbase today. They say they no longer offer the Chessbase Light Premium and directed me to regular Chessbase 11 as the alternative. I'm assuming as someone else mentioned that the Premium version of Chessbase Light adversely impacted the sale of regular Chessbase. When I looked into it before, it seemed like a no brainer that Chessbase Light Premium was the option for me given the price and capability.

	I can access the free CBLight with both Firefox and IE, but [i]not[/i] by clicking on the CBLight icon at the top right, which does as linksspringer says. Instead I click on the 'Service and download' option at the top of the screen (Tony's link), then scroll down (roughly one page) till I see a small white Download window. Simply get CBLight 2009 into this window and press 'Download'.

	ChessBase Light is still available for download. However if what you are saying is true, then perhaps too many people were buying ChessBase Light Premium to access all the features of ChessBase 10/11 (excluding Mega Database and other databases) for a much cheaper price, reducing ChessBase's profits.
