I haven't done these specific pawn structure Dvds. However, the one Kopec video I did left an AWFUL taste in my mouth. It was on "how to analyze a chess position." Not only did it feel like he was reading off a script... it felt like the most unhelpful script ever written. He never really explained anything. He would just go over his games and say "I had a great idea to do this move which is obviously winning so it needs no explanation." The whole video went on like that without anything useful ever being said. He had it structured into 'space' 'king safety' and the like but never actually touched on those subjects. It was so poorly done I would never buy anything with the name Kopec anywhere on it again - me personally.

That's the only video I could find of Kopec speaking about chess.  He seems like he's reading off a script.  Make of it what you will.

I can empathize with your perception that you learn better by watching than by reading a book.  However, if Kopec's other DVDs are anything like this, they might resemble an audiobook + automated board more than they would, say, a chessbase presentation.
