Dvoretsky's books are good, but are geared to high rated ambitious players. You have to spend time with the books to fully appreciate them.

Don't check me with no lightweight stuff.

I'm trying to follow a course to improve my level. I've started with Yusupov's Boost your Chess collection. However, some time ago I bought five Dvoretsky & Yusupov books titled Training for tournament palyer, Opening preparation, Technique for the tournament palyer, Positional play, Attack an d Defence. Have they nothing to do with the series School of Future Champions and School of Chess Excellence. Are they worth of buying? Thanks.

Everything by Dvoretsky is worth buying - one of the greatest chess trainers ever.
