No! By all means please do post, just not with all those references to 365chess and the like, where anyone with half a brain can look the same thing up for himself.  Posting references to older threads here would be especially useful. And so would references to previous updates.

What's wrong with Wink's attempt to list and discuss 1.d4 f5 sources? It might be quite useful for someone who studies the Dutch. In replies 1-16, Wink listed chess books, some of them pretty old and probably unknown to many members. Then he located all the stuff from chesspub, an impressive list. If more members had participated, it would have improved the thread. But the lack of a lively debate isn't Wink's fault. - I understand that there must be limits to mention rival commercial sites. But it would greatly hurt the spirit of Chesspub to discourage the discussion of opening books and a handful of useful websites. 

A good source, by the way, is http://www.kenilworthchessclub.org/links/openings.html , where Chesspub member urusov gives a dozen of Dutch links.

I don't see the need to mention everything on the net, either. But maybe the moderators should agree on a policy for links, as one made this topic a sticky while another wants to delete it.

But the basic idea of creating an index for chesspub threads and books/articles covering a certain opening may have some value though, as in Wink's thread on the "Bird Opening Sources" - as long as you remember to differentiate between what is worth mentioning and what is not.

I don't see what is the point of posting incessantly with nothing but citations of other websites.  It's quite simple for anybody who knows about 365chess.com and chessgames.com and chessopenings.com and these other websites to go there and look things up for himself.  So what is served by this except to promote these websites?  This forum is meant to be a place where people discuss opening theory, not a switchyard for internet searches.

I failed to take notice of this thread for some time.  I'm not a monitor of this part of the board, but if I were I would probably go back and delete a great many of these posts that contain nothing more than links.

But speaking as one long-time participant here, posts of this kind are really not terribly welcome.

Yes, I think I did include the Anti-Dutch DVD. He is a YouTube ad for the ABC of the Classical Dutch by IM Martin.

IM Martin has also done one on the Anti Dutch. It came out the same time he did the Leningrad video. Not sure if it was on your list.

IM Andrew Martin has recently produced a training video called ABC of the Classical Dutch. 

I'm sorry to admit that I overlooked the fact that he also produced another training video for ChessBase called ABC of the Leningrad Dutch.
