agree with Girkassa.
Probably easier to find the winning move if the rook on a6 was on, say a4. Interesting.

That's a terrible slip by Kramnik. He must have been thinking that if he takes once on b6, he has to take twice.

Funny how the human brain works sometimes - I see myself that I am misled by the rook on a6. Maybe Kramnik would have seen it if the rook had been in a more passive position somewhere else on the a-file.

It's probably better to use our diagrams rather than outside images if possible, as images on other servers tend to disappear in time.

Yes, great game indeed. Today Kramnik is playing the Grunfeld.

He won a great game, pushing his a pawn right down the board to queen .I wonder why Kramnik plays so well at Dortmund, he seems really confident against the relatively weaker Germans (2600 plus)and shows this by playing Pirc and KID. 

He did well in the London Chess classic 2011 with this sort of mixed format too

I love that the Scotch is coming back. The Marshall and Berlin seem too much for the die-hard 1.e4 players like Karjakin to deal with atm.
