Hi,
I am writing to introduce Lantern Chess Client for ICC, a new Interface for chessclub.com that works on Mac Windows and Linux. Well not quite new, the team has been working on it 2.5 years (there are two of us, Mike and Andrey, and i'm the primary author) but still relatively unknown. And yes i have checked with GMTonyKosten that it's ok to post this.
Lantern is Java and GPL (open source) like Jin and offers most everything Jin is missing (crazyhouse and bughouse support, a game console, multi console, tabs, an events list, easy access to ChessFm via the Actions Window, country flags). It only runs on ICC though and there are no plans to port to FICS as many features would not be supported on FICS.
If interested check it out at
http://www.LanternChess.com there are 6 screen shots there for those who are curious but not as inclined to go around installing new interfaces as readily. I know many of you use internet chess servers though from what i've read your spread out between servers like Playchess, ICC and FICS as well as smaller servers, but if on ICC, particularly if you have a Mac though windows users will find lantern interesting as well, this might be something worth trying.
There is comprehensive help and help can be found in the program via the help menu in the menu bar then the Lantern Manual menu item or on the web at
