Yes - in the game against Nakamura he refused a repetition as Black on move 11 or 12 I think - in the press conference he said he was afraid Naka would repeat moves. He seemed to be all out playing for the win regardless of colour or opponent!

Wang Hao definitely deserves the red jersey for the most aggressive rider in the tour of Biel. He had only one draw, which is exactly what the sponsors wanted to see. 

However, it wasn't just the scoring that made this tournament especially combative. The wide range of ratings afforded the players the opportunity to play for the win as white and as black.

If the top 8 players in the world played in the same tournament, there would have been quite a few more draws. I don't consider this a bad thing at all, but the sponsors may want to create more tournaments like Biel and London and fewer super-elite tournaments with only the top players invited.

Well done to Wang Hao on his victory in Biel - well deserved and could have been by a wider margin, but got there in the end all the same. A guy to keep an eye on I think.

Wang had a very nice win as Black against Nakamura. For me Wang has been the revelation of the tournament, we all know about Carlsen already but I like the way this guy plays. If not for the tragedy against Carlsen where he was playing for the win the whole game he would be outright leader now.

Yes 46.Nb2?? turns the game on its head, he must have been short on time to miss this tactic because its a typical one - N on b2 then pawn to a3 is unstoppable.

The ending after 46.b6 does still look uncomfortable to Black to me - its not nice to play with a white pawn on the seventh when b7 comes. But really I think White had even better than this earlier, it was a beautiful game by Wang Hao really - he had Black completely tied up with the pawn sacrifice. Maybe Rd6 at some point aiming to grab back the pawn while maintaining the pressure somehow. Tragedy for Wang to lose this one.

Was watching earlier and thought Wang Hao was playing a great game - a positional pawn sac for domination, but noticed he had a lot less time than Carlsen, not seen the game yet but suspect this might have told in the end.
