Thanks for the tip. I looked at most of the lines superficially (the bold moves), but I don't think this is the thread to discuss it.

Just wondering (I own the book too), gwnn, have you analyzed 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 c5 4.cxd5 cxd4 5.Qa4+ Bd7 6.Qxd4 exd5 7.Qxd5 Nc6 8.Nf3 Nf6 9.Qd1 Bc5 10.e3 Qe7 11.Be2 O-O-O 12.O-O g5 13.a3 g4 14.Nh4 and looked at the transposition to page 72? I found it surprisingly hard to counter.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

I think you addressed the main issue yourself: you will probably need something else against the London. Besides, you will have to consider whether you want to play 3.Nc3 f5 (transposing to the 1.d4 f5 2.Nc3 d5 line). White will be able to play Bf4 there, but in return, he has not played c4.

Other than that, I cannot think of any particular move order issues.

I would like to follow Bronznik's book on the Schara Gambit + play the Triangle/Noteboom against Nf3. So I have to play

1 d4 d5 2 Nf3 c6.

Can I play the stonewall if white doesn't play c4 soon? I guess the only problem is if white plays Bf4 (or delays e2-e3) as that will mean I have to part with my good dark-squared bishop? So I should play something with Qb6 and so on?

This question is mostly academic as my opps will not play for move-order traps, but I am nonetheless interested if there are any pitfalls related to playing c6 e6 and f5 pretty much against everything they throw at me. Thanks!
