the word 'échiquier' exists, it's a chess board, but again I can't find échiquien in any dictionary

in Spanish the adjective 'ajedrecístico' exists, but I really wouldn't use this here, it sounds rather scientific

I'm not a native French speaker, but I would think of "échiquéen(ne)".

(egregious spelling mistake corrected)

I'm not a native speaker (but should know some french), so I'm not 100% sure
but you can find a lot of non-grammatical stuff using google, the fact that 'echecienne' (without the expected accent) gives only 2 results tells you it is wrong

edit: maybe "revue d'échecs" is better (in Spanish: revista de ajedrez, Portuguese: revista de xadrez)

to me "publication échecienne" sounds very far-fetched, "publication d'échecs" sounds a lot more natural
moreover, I can't find 'échecien' on http://atilf.atilf.fr/ so I doubt if it is really used at all

I found "tradition échecienne" online.  Maybe it's non-standard.  Are you a native French speaker?  To me, publication d'échecs looks suspect because it has a double meaning, "the publication of chess."  But I am not a native French speaker.  I need the advice of someone who is, and is a chess player as well.

in spanish, maybe "publicación del ajedrez" will do, but I'm not completely sure

In German you can say "Schach-Publishing," but in the Romance languages you need an adjective.  The French have one; you can say "publication echecienne."  But what can you say in Spanish or Portuguese?  Spanish has "ajedrecista," but it means "chess player," not having to do with chess.  Similarly "enxadrista" in Portuguese.  So does either of these languages have an adjective comparable to "echecienne?"

I found a Spanish phrase online "colores ajedreca," but I am not sure if "ajedreca" is an acceptable Spanish word, since that was the only example I could find. And why not "colores ajedrecas?"
