	Anand at press conference expains he was calculating Bf1 and Qd1 and then saw Nf1 and started calculating Qd1 and saw Ne3-f5-e7 and got excited …… did not see Qe1 at all.

	And to be fair, by the way, a fascinating game and even something of a conceptual innovation by Carlsen. Maybe he and Houdini were right all along and the visual impression wrong?

	Look at it this way; it’s like old lions; the longer they hang on, the more decrepit they look when they do get beaten up and deposed. Or in other words, if Vishy hadn’t roused himself with his last strength to beat Gelfand, this wouldn’t have happened. This was what he wanted – to hang on and be deposed by a worthy champion. I wonder who the bookmakers’ favourite to depose Carlsen would be.

	Incredibly sad yes. Bf1 looks like it was still very much alive and sharp. I suppose a nice quiet draw tommorrow now to finish things off.

	Entertaining game today, I think white was better after the opening, Anand desevered a better fate. Now Carlsen only 1 draw to win the match.
