	Anand played the losing moves in this match much too quickly, indeed below the normal minimum threshold of time that grandmasters take in slow games for moves where there is anything whatsoever to think about. An old vice for him, the dark side of his calculating speed...just as when he was younger...

	To add insult to injury according to the live ratings , it appears that Anand is also now in a position of a net loss of ratings points and has slipped to below Gelfand in the ratings list...ouch. But I suppose a draw tomorrow might be enough to reverse that.

	She asked him if he was trying to calculate everything to the end as far as I remember. Seemed like a fair enough question because there are 2 approaches, try to do that, or go with your intuition.

	Maybe in retrospect 22.cxb4!? was more accurate. The c-pawn looks a lot easier to handle than the b-pawn, and White's attack will continue....

	At least Speelman couldn't find anything even hinting at a white edge during the game. 22...b3 was really gutsy but I think it was a sign of Carlsen's confidence in his position. White would really have liked that light-squared bishop on b1 rather than g2 - hence the timing of ...c4 in the opening, I suppose.

Worth analysing earlier if White can improve.
