	Oops was not paying attention to the (boring) opening moves. Can someone be kind enough to tell me whether Black can get away with 1. Nf3 d5 2. g3 c5 aiming for a reversed benoni. not sure if 3. c4 d4 is any good for White? At least from White side this would worry me most. Anand's choice of 2... g6 probably means he has grunfeld ready against 1. d4.

	2...g6 is indeed a good move, I'm glad Anand plays this instead of the c6+Bg4 stuff we've seen hundreds of times before to elaborate a bit on 2...g6: white can play towards a fianchetto Grünfeld but then (if he doesn't go for the solid c6-variation) black has avoided the most critical lines with cxd5 because black plays dxc4 as soon as white goes c4 if white continues in King's Indian attack style then black has the Pachman system with d5, g6, Bg7, e5 and Ne7 which I really like for black (when you look at Houdini's evaluation he doesn't like it that much but he's just wrong)

	I am curious what Carlsen has in mind against 1. Nf3 d5 2. c4 d4 which is the single biggest argument against the Reti.

	It seemed to me Anand bailed out of his winning chances when he traded the remaining rooks on move 37. It looked like he could have kept things interesting with 37…Bd4 followed by …Rf8 and play against f2. Once he traded the rooks there was not enough play left. However I didn't get a chance to look at it more deeply since I was leaving for work.

	Draw. If they continue like this, I think chess will be able to avoid complete Reti-ization in the next few years.

	Looks like Carlsen is getting gradually outplayed by Anand. Will it be enough to win??? Drama at last..... He has messed it up, why ...Rd8 when he had ...Bd4. Its just a dead draw now.

	Yes, but before there's a game four, there will be game three. Carlsen plays 1.e4 more than any other first move.

	I doubt Anand wants to test Carlsen's Spanish. Against 1.e4, I rather expect he'll play a Sicilian. Anand has a good record against the Spanish, and against Carlsen in the Spanish, but it is playing to Carlsen's strengths. But yeah, it's a good bet that Carlsen will play at least three different openings as white this match.
